Investing in digital assets , just started blogging about me , my life , ups and downs ... LIFE......

Hindsight is 20/20, But Foresight is 50/50

20/20 is considered the best eyesight possible perfect vision if you will. Hindsight is looking back into the past. So hindsight would be perfect vision into the past.

HINDSIGHT IS 20/20

That phrase is an expression, is normally said when something gets messed up or mistakes are made. The meaning that when we look back at events or decisions we have made in the past, with out knowing the future or what we know now. Maybe our choices weren’t the best but givin the information we had in the past that we made the best choice possible at that moment in time. It’s easy to criticize everyone for not investing in bitcoin in 2011 or 2014 or 2017 or... you get the idea.

Hindsight, of course, is '20/20': from the future we can look back and see what we could not see when we were in the past.

You know what’s more important than hindsight but never gets talked about as much......

👀FORESIGHT👀

To have foresight or to see what’s coming, to see what other people can’t. Sure foresight can be guessing and speculation but Just imagine buying $500 in Bitcoin at $0.0008 . You would have 625,000 bitcoins OMG could you imagine 😱 Off of this little foresight you would have 6.8 Billion dollars.

All of us, or most of us, invested in crypto currency or as it’s called as of late, digital assets. We invested on speculation, on predictions where we thought the market would go. Some of my predictions would have paid off if I hadn’t of gotten impatient. So now I Hold or should I say Hodl.

I have many different projects that I talk about often on Twitter a few of my favourite’s are, in no particular order,

🔹XRP, obviously

🔹 VeChain, VET

🔹CasinoCoin, CSC

🔹 Eight Hours token, EHrT

🔹 PolyMath, POLY

🔹 Safe haven, SHA

🔹 Flare network, SPARK ( soon to be )

Flare network and spark has me undecided how I feel about it. On one had it’s a great project and so needed in this space, great addition to smart contracts space and I feel a leader in the years to come. On the other .... I feel uneasy about it ? I’m not sure why?? But one thing I find interesting is no Ripple employees can participate in the air drop, another thing that peaked my interest is no escrowed XRP qualifies either.

I feel like the Dec 12 2020 snapshot and the spark airdrop date, XRP will see a run up. How high can It go ? No one can be sure, but I’m guessing over a $1.00 maybe more. Now it is XRP anything is possible , even a drop ? But I really think a run up, that would be a 400% gain from .25 now to the magical dollar.... I think . But then it might spur on the crypto’s friend , FOMO . Really it could go even higher. Now on this run up you will have people taken profits and buying back in , so it will be bumpy

As XRP hodlers we are seasoned in bumpy roads and holding. So no problem we got this. Hours before the airdrop snapshot, wallets will be locked on exchanges from buying or selling XRP . After the snapshot and wallets are unlocked, you will see a drop from what ever height we reached pre snapshot as people sell out of XRP back to what ever else they are diversified in. Or will it drop ? I personally think it will ... I think this might be the catalyst to keep up XRP over a dollar.

DO NOT FOMO IN AT A HIGH PRICE JUST TO GET FREE SPARK, THE PRICE WILL DROP AFTER SNAP SHOT AND YOU CAN BUY SPARK THEN WITH PROFITS FROM XRP.

I dislike people that do predictions and moon boys ect, but I’m going to give a little of my insight that really means absolutely nothing 🤣 So my Insight or foresight into XRP is this I am predicting this is the last time you will see XRP under 25 cents.

FOUR FOR A DOLLAR !

What are you going to do ? As always anything I say isn’t financial advise. Do as you wish with your money, I wish you all the best in this bumpy road we are all on. We are innovators and all have the foresight to see what’s coming.

Thanks for reading, until the next one

Lately I feel like I’ve been working non stop, it’s like there’s no end in site. I just get close to some down time and something else comes up that swings me back into crazy long days or weekend work. Not to mention everything around the house that we are trying to get done before the snow hits. The weekend work the last while has been with my oldest son Jake. Teaching him that not all things come easy, if you want things hard work will be the way to get them. The term working like a dog comes to mind but that can’t mean our dogs ?

Yes, the more I think, obviously not talking about our dogs over here. Closer inspection reveals the only job they have seems to consist of only 4 things: eat, sleep, play and of course bark at the tv or window. I wonder if I could be hired, I would even take a pay cut to get a chance at this position, all four of our dogs are in the fight monthly for employee of the month. Not sure what the employee of the month gets them, maybe an extra treat or snuggles in bed. While I sat on the couch and snuggled Charlie , all awhile observing their hard work every day, I suddenly wondered where the phrase “work like a dog” originated? Clearly this phrase was not talking about the domesticated family pet I see to me left that is stretched out over 3 couch cushions and snoring peacefully. Definitely the hard working dogs did not align exactly with what I was observing in my own dogs.

So where did the term working like a dog come from ? Some dogs do work and work hard. More common years back as dogs did work, today still working dogs exist. Long before ours were given life. The Rottweiler for existence has a heritage of pulling carts for farmers, butchers, bakers, merchants and families in the marketplace of Europe.

The Border Collie was and still is a farmers best friend, keeping Herds together of various animals. It’s so engrained in a Collie’s traits that they have been known to heard anything and everything, even cats and children.

Hunting dogs and retrievers still do there thing from days of old.

Service dogs that have extensive training helping the disabled or sight impaired. Dogs that are therapy dogs, bringing joy to seniors homes.

Military working dogs and even detection dogs, doing bomb detection.

Police dogs are mainly German Shepard’s and my beloved Doberman in Germany that are know as police dogs. Risking there lives daily in dangerous situations for there fellow human officers.

Firemen and women have the Dalmatian at there fire hall.

My article yesterday was about negativity skewed news. It sure does seem like all the news is negative in nature. As I discussed, it is inpart what we subconsciously want if you can believe that ? It stays in our memories longer and makes a greater impact than good, happy news. Negative news fills the head lines and spills over into our daily lives as well.

Ever been to a hockey game and a fight breaks out? Yes, your right every game I’ve been to aswell. The fans go crazy and everyone loves it. But yet every time fans are interviewed or people from the NHL everyone wants fighting out of hockey? But yet everyone stands up and cheer.

If I were to ask you what the last positive thing was that your significant other did for you was, would you remember ? Can you recall it? You probably can, but you had to think didnt you ?

How about if I ask you what was the last thing your significant other did to PISS YOU OFF 🤬. How about now ? Do you remember that? I thought so.

Positivity is CONTAGIOUS, you know what else is NEGATIVITY. All the negative news, negative social media posts, even the president of the USA has a negative Twitter posts. All this influences everyone in the world. You wonder why the world is erupting in CHAOS ! With everything on social media and the news it’s a no brainer. Let’s try something, be positive, turn off the news. Maybe mute some of Donald Trumps tweets for a few weeks and see how your attitude is now. Did your mental health improve ?

I BET IT WOULD!!

Now let’s see how yesterday’s Twitter post of my article titled – Covid spike to unsafe levels did it get more like clicks than my normal posts ? I’m going to compare my last 3 posts of mine.

First up DUMPSTER DIVE , let’s take a look at the twitter activity

Next up is my WORDLESS WEDNESDAY meme post, what’s that Twitter activity like ?

Now let’s check out the COVID SPIKE TO UNSAFE LEVELS post, this really nails home that negative news sells and it’s 100% true. If it bleeds it leads

So my impressions were down on this negatively titled blog, but everything else is up. And up HUGE.

🔹The first two blogs I had total engagements at 81 and 73. Negitive news I had 363 ! That’s crazy, add the others together and I still doubled it.

🔹The first two blogs I had detail expands at 24 and 21. Negative news I had 113 !

🔹 The first two blogs I had link clicks of 17 and 13. Negative news .... omg 😳 I had 159. One hundred and sixty people clicked the link to read my negative blog.

🔹 Profile clicks on the first two blogs I had 3 and 4 😞 but on Negative news I had 46 😃

I never did check to see my Twitter followers Before and After so I’m not sure if I gained followers or not. As you can tell, this speaks for it self and really blew my mind. People really do want to read negative news stories. Let’s try to be a little more positive as a planet. Negativity is jammed down out throat at every turn, maybe, just maybe the world needs positive change.

Death and destruction fill the news hour, that’s all you ever seem to hear. This next statement may shock you, as much as it did me, that we want to hear the negovive news ?! We are drawn to depressing sad news stories, disaster sells. Turns out our brains are wired to like the negative stories. The internet is filled with studies showing this very fact. An old line that I’ve heard many times and I’m sure you have as well;

“If it bleeds, it leads”

Meaning that the bad stories get front page news, while the positive good news stories get buried on page 22. Negative stories are more impactful on our brains, we remember them longer than positive ones. They tend to skew even positive stories to a negative news headlines just to get you to click the link (did it work by the way ?) or turn that page. So it’s not just you thinking the news is negative skewed, because it is !! It may not be our fault that we tend to look for negative news stories. We all love the positive uplifting stories on social media. Animals saving there owners, cute cuddly pics and story’s. Happy endings in war stories and cancer battles. The list goes on for the happiness we think we want to read. Just yesterday we stopped listening to the radio on the way to school because of all the doom and gloom negativity it was spewing in our lives.

Why we like negative news??

Is it people want to see that someone is having a worse day than them?

Something exciting about bad news ??

Or maybe there life isn’t so bad after watching the six o’clock news ?

Ok everyone is tired of all the crappy depressing news and negativity in the world. So what would happen if the news only reported positive, up lifting news. The stuff that gives you the “happy” feeling. Well, a Russian news site did just that. The City Reporter tried an experiment and only had positive news and stories to the front page for an entire day. They found any and all positive spins in the negative stories. Happy heart warming stories filled the pages of the news that day. What did the readers think of that? Well, no one wanted to read that happy stuff. The City Reporter lost 66% of its normal readership in that one day.

COVID SPIKES OUT OF CONTROL HEADLINE, DID YOU START READING BECAUSE OF THAT HEAD LINE?

I’ve noticed with Covid-19 news that there seems to be an upward spike as soon as they say the cases are going down. So is either a result of everyone thinking numbers are better so we can slack off a bit, then we see a spike ? Or do they like to give some positive news and then hammer it to us with negative? OR is it just skewed that way. Nothing like keeping a population scared and panicked so you can control them. Over the Labor Day long weekend in Alberta we had a huge spike of cases, well, according to the news we did. That’s how they skewed it. Some of the headlines were;

“More than 600 new cases over the long weekend causing concern with Alberta residents”

“Alberta COVID-19 cases rise to May levels; Hinshaw says ‘absolutely critical’ to stay home if sick“

“I’m concerned about the continued rise in cases,” Dr. Deena Hinshaw, Alberta’s Chief Medical Officer of Health, said during Tuesday’s COVID-19 update.

So here is the POSITIVE part they left out, to put this in perspective for Alberta to get that 619 rise in case numbers; to a active case total at 1692 . All this over the four day long weekend they administered almost 50,000 COVID tests. Now, Yes in May 2020 we did have roughly the same increase in daily numbers this is true but, In May Alberta was administering 4000 a day a far cry from today’s 12,000 tests a day.

🔹The month of May our daily active case growth ranged from 60-130 A DAY THE ENTIRE MONTH OF MAY. On an average of 4000 tests per day

🔹Even conservatively say 90 new cases a day in May, that means 2.2% of the tests came back positive.

🔹 So now ALBERTA news blows up over a 619 case increase over 4 days with 50,000 tests ??? That’s 1.2% ? THIS IS A WIN PEOPLE, not negative news at all, and here’s why

619 is a lot and I would like it at zero but, in perspective, we have increased COVID testing from 4000 a day to approx 12000 a day. We are doing 3 times the amount of tests and our daily percentage increase went down 100% . If we were still at May levels then over the long weekend, with that amount of tests administered and percentages we should of seen 4085 new cases over Labor Day, we had 619. This is a positive news story, not negative.

Dont worry, everything is not as negative as it seems. The world is just spun that way. Hang in there, we will all get through this together❤️. I would like to believe the news leans to the negative to spur on change. To get us fueled up to fight the next big fight. One could argue that negative news (bad news) is the important news. Talking about a hurricane that just reached land or wild fires burning out of control can help to get financial aid gears turning. Some times it’s just better to hit the off button.

But sadly we all know it’s about money and to spin their own political agenda.

🤫 WORDLESS WEDNESDAY #19

❤️ MY FAVOURITE BLOG

When I used to do alot of grass or should I say Landscaping and lawn maintenance, there was a particular store that I looked after that always had a gold mine. It never let me down and I’ve still to this day check out my secret stash. Well as you can tell by the title, they would have a 40 yard dumpster out back a few times a year. Now a 40 yard dumpster is approximately 22 feet long by 8 feet high and 8 feet wide.

Wow ! That’s a lot of garbage

Except it wast always garbage, the first time I seen it at the back of the store I was curious so I looked inside. And OMG , there was all kinds of items from inside this store. Still good and could have easily been donated or sold, even at a discount.

Some of the items I found and saved from the landfill are 👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻

BBQ -This BBQ was probably a floor model but other than a broken handle , that I fixed for $5 nothing was wrong with it. I used it for 4 years with no issues and gave it to a guy at work that loved it . Probably a $500 BBQ

YARD FURNITURE -I found 10 patio chairs with no issues what so ever. Patio tables maybe a chip or two but other than that, no issues and were a great patio set. Probably $1000 or more.

LAWN ORNAMENTS -These had no issues what so ever, they were brand new and STILL IN THE BOX . They were glass lanterns that you would put a candle in. About 2 feet tall with antique finish , I’ve seen similar ones for $150. I pulled 15 out of the garbage and donated some. Some went to friends and family and I kept some.

GARDENING TOOLS -where Oh where do I start, lawn mowera, weed trimmers, shovels rakes ect ... hundreds and hundreds of dollars in products

It just blows my mind the products that were throw out, why are we such a wasteful society. Why not donate more instead of just filling up landfills ???

To this very day, if I see a bin at these stores I stop and have a look. To my surprise I haven’t found anything the last couple times. Maybe they have cleaned up there act ? Maybe they donate to charity more ? Or just maybe I’m not the only one diving for treasures anymore.

I’ve noticed at the eco centres in town they have an area for items that are still useable, that people don’t want anymore. I see lots of people dropping stuff off. In this area all the items are free to take. I’ve taken some items home myself.

I’ve even taken apart decks and advertised in the buy and sell -free wood to who ever picks it up. This has saved me lots of money over the years, not only on dump charges but Gas and even labor to load it in a trailer and drive it to the dump and unload it all.

ARE YOU DOING YOUR PART ?

What if I told you Lamborghini made and sold tractors long before they made super cars ? No really they did or should I say still do to this very day. So what made Ferruccio Lamborghini, the owner of Lamborghini, decide to start manufacturing a super car?

Ferruccio came from a farming family and started producing tractors in 1948, in 1963 he started making luxurious sports cars. He owned a successful tractor company why start making cars? Well Ferruccio Lamborghini had bought a Ferrari, but was unhappy with some of the mechanical working of the car , along with some of the interior finishes. After several frustrating trips to the Ferrari factory to try to solve the problems on his Ferrari. Enzo Anselmo Ferrari, the owner of Ferrari, told Lamborghini that there was nothing wrong with the car and that he was actually the problem.

Well this infuriated and insulted Ferruccio so much he decided that he could build a far better and mechanically superior car than Ferrari ever could, so In 1963 he founded the Lamborghini car company. Lamborghini used top end designers some had even worked for Ferrari at one time. They soon took over the luxury sports car market.

Below is a picture of the 1963 350GTV at its first auto show just four months after starting the endeavour to make cars. They had some hiccups and didn’t have a motor for the car in the show, but it’s reported that the engine compartment was filled with bricks so the car would sit at the right hieght.

-Competition Fuels Innovation-

Ford vs Ferrari

Ferrari vs Lamborghini

Apple vs Microsoft

Coke vs Pepsi

Mc Donald’s vs Burger King

CPR vs Union Pacific

Thomas Edison vs Nikola Tesla

Xbox vs PlayStation

BROTHER VS BROTHER

Sibling rivalry is one that’s is seen all through every house hold world wide! Don’t even get me started on sports teams and players, the list goes on. Healthy rivalry or competition is a good thing, it pushes us to do better or go out of our comfort zones to achieve something.

A cold winter day in early February 2015. Snow was blowing in the frigid temperatures of -34 in Edmonton, Alberta. I was dreaming of Los Cabo’s Mexico and margaritas by the pool. In just 2 short weeks we were leaving on holidays with Lees Family. A nice big relaxing holiday is just what we all needed. Before we left I was doing a nice big shower job, 3x7 to be exact. Owners are really happy and everything is going really well.

I ran out of thinset for the tile and had to run to Home Depot. It was 530 anyway so it was home time. I decide to pick it up now so it saves me time in the morning. I Jump in the truck, first n foremost I hit the Tim Hortons drive thru for a coffee which is absolutely a must. I’m not sure I would survive with out coffee? It pumps through my veins and keeps me at my 14 hr a day pace. I get to Home Depot, park and answer a few emails and finish my godly coffee.

I didn’t really notice but I parked by the propane tank storage unit for all the pre-filled tanks. It’s made out of aluminum and the back is shiny bright aluminum. I step out of the truck, walk about 12 feet from my truck and WHAMMY right on my ass. Instantaneously my knee and my ankle are on fire 🔥. When I fell, my leg bent behind my back and my knee twisted. Now I’m not at all a flexible man, yoga is not my strong suit or ever will it be. I could not stand up and I’m in DIRE pain. Now most of you know I’ve written blogs about how I’ve cut a finger off and I burned my foot with boiling hot water. Add those both together, times it by 2 and it still didn’t touch the agony I was feeling in that leg.

I notice a man walking into the store from a distance, in my head I think – thank god, he can maybe help me to get up.... Fewf, glad he’s here, but wait he’s not stoping to ask if I’m alright even. We make eye contact and he keeps on walking right by ?

*ASSHOLE*! I think to myself.

I’m freezing there lying in the snow, in shorts and a t-shirt, yes work shorts and a work short sleeve shirt at -34. I’m always working inside I over heat very fast. Normally I just have to run from the truck to the house or Home Depot and really I’m fine and never cold. Sprawled out in the snow like a snow angel is a different story. But wait another person is coming, oh thank god

Made eye contact again with me and he walked right past as I squirm in pain. Two people just walked by me and some how I knew no one is stopping. So I start to drag myself to the truck, it took awhile but finally I get there. Now I have to get in? I start crawling up the tire and digging my claws in for traction. I get up along side the box of the truck and manage to get in the truck and start it.

Oh thank god, I made it

I drive to the Medi Center which is fairly close to me and the Home Depot where I slipped. Waiting what seemed to be an eternity in pain, probably about an hour. AAAAANNNNDDDD ..... I broke my ankle and tore my ACL.

So why did I mention that shiny aluminum propane tank cabinet. My thought is the sun reflected off the cabinet and on to the ground and that’s why it was so icy in that one location. Ok that’s an easy answer, but Why didn’t people stop ??? There is not a chance I would have walked by someone on the ground, in physical pain. The only reason I can think of, it’s not an excuse for these people but, I’m a big dude with tattoos that looks like I could be homeless on the best of days. Paint, caulking and I’m this case thinset on my clothes. Let’s be honest I have been homeless before (sort of) as I’ve written about in THIS blog so I could see how it got misunderstood. I was lying on the ground whining in pain and I’m a big guy I probably looked a little scary but, for those two people I say shame on you. Julie the one eyed pug was keeping me company for the days leading up to my holidays.

So with my cast and all , MEXICO HERE I COME! We had a great holiday, I made the best of it and I was glad the doc gave me an air cast so I could still swim or I mean float in the pool and drink margaritas.

Thank you for reading ❤️ Until the next one

So as you can tell this isn’t my typical Wordless Wednesday post, I’m breaking the silence of Wednesday’s and doing a tribute to Chadwick on Cinnamon Video. It really puts into perspective how fragile human life is. We all preach that life is short and you never know what will happen so live each day to the fullest. But how many of us do, we think it can never happen to us, untill it does. My heart breaks for his family.

He truly created some amazing movies for us to enjoy for eternity, he will never be forgotten because he created art that will stand the test of time. I could only imagine how he battled cancer in secret while filming Black panther. On top of this he was going to children’s hospitals to visit the sick kids, what a truly amazing selfless man.

Never take life for granted and enjoy everyday.

Please have a look at my cinnamon video to honour Chadwick, The King 1976-2020
